my sms was working fine and my mms was working fine being sent by my email rather than my phone number but it was still working

after updating to ios9 both have stopped working.. ive contacted wind but they told me it was a problem on Apples side since it was working before the update..

My husbands iphone 5 id doing the same thing so i know its not just my phone.. has anybody else experienced this? Wind told me i had to wait until apple fixed it or downgrade my ios back to 8 ..

Looks like a problem specific to windmobile iphones. Sitting in the same boat with my 5c. Looks like there are two additional APN settings in ios9 that might be causing this.

Go to Settings->Phone->My Number and make sure your correct phone number is entered.

Although Wind doesn't realize it, in the last week they fixed the iMessage activation problem so you can use iMessage with your phone number without resorting to complicated work-arounds. Unfortunately MMS is now an issue when using iOS 9.

Found this tidbit on their site.

Please note: at this time, the use of FaceTime and iMessage on compatible WIND network iPhones will function with the use of an Apple ID. Currently, WIND Mobile is not an authorized dealer of Apple Canada, as a result, certain proprietary software has not been made available to WIND to the fullest extent in an official capacity.

Not really apple's problem when they aren't obligated to support their network.

I too have this issue,

I just spent an hour on the phone with Wind mobile tier 1 support re entering all the mobile settings and then spent 15 minutes on hold being forwarded to tier 2 support to hear a guy say " it is an Apple issue, call them"

I was on the phone with Apple checking all the settings, directed the agent to the wind mobility site to review the mobile internet settings and was told " Apple considers this to be a carrier issue"

Looks like i will be rockin my BB Z30 while i look for a new carrier

It is not the phone company. So please do not blame win company. It has to be apple because i am with metro Pcs and my iPhone 6s Plus is doing the same. I Do agree that it is unfair to use mms when we are paying to use it and in order to use it we have To down grade. Apple needs to come up with a solution fast. Another issue I had is itunes would not except my debit card and over charged me after it charged me. Apple need to do better than this before they loose a lot of customers. I love iPhone better than android but Apple is becoming a headache.

I was told that Wind is not supporting the phone number for either iMessage or Facetime. I reminded them they did not inform me that there was no support for Apple technologies when I obviously walked in and registered an iPhone 6.

Not sure really what to do now.

Cheers

Change your carrier to one that actually supports iPhones, or change your iPhone to something that Wind actually support.

Same issue here, since I updated to iOS 9.3.3 about 2 weeks ago I am no longer able to send / receive MMS messages.

Today I updated to iOS 9.3.5 the issue persists. Clearly Apple's update broke this functionality because my carrier settings have not changed and it was working fine before the update.
