Reverting to old Notes format after upgrading in iOS 9

Does anyone know how to revert back to the previous format of Notes. I cannot no longer sync Notes with Microsoft Outlook because of upgrading. Also, the format of the Notes on the device was destroyed making them impossible to use.

I've got a similar problem with syncing through iCloud to my MacBookPro. Because of a graphics chip issue my laptop is very slow so am stuck with OSX.8 and do not want to update to OSX.10. Therefore old style notes on MBP and new style notes on iPhone iOS9. Apple says notes won't sync because I need to have new style notes on my MBP.

Apparently the iOS9 update asked if you wanted to upgrade your notes but without saying anything about not being able to sync any longer with older style notes!!!!! I'm furious as I now need to buy a new laptop only because of the notes issue???

UNLESS SOMEONE CAN TELL US NOW TO DOWNGRADE THE NOTES ON iOS9??

Please guys, that was the original question but no answers so far…. 😟 😟 😟

Thanks

OK I've been on the phone to Apple Support and they've solved it for me. All I needed to do was to change the note syncing from iCloud to my Gmail account (and other options may work, too?).

First on my MBP: System Preferences - Mail, Contacts & Calendars - click the service you want to use on the left and side and log in, then select contacts. Open Notes, then select all and drag & drop onto new account (on far left). Wait until you can see they are all there and they have synced.

Then on iPhone: Do same.

Then on MBP, then on iPhone: unselect Notes in the iCloud account it says it'll delete them from your phone but that's OK as you still have the ones from the other service.

Sorted.

Good luck, just make sure you back up your notes in case something goes wrong??

Google Notes are different than Microsoft Outlook Notes which is what this discussion started about. Google Notes could be an alternative solution to Outlook Notes but it means you are not keeping things within the MS Outlook Application.

If you don't upgrade to the new style of Notes in iOS 9, then sync still works if you had it working prior to upgrading to iTunes 12.3. So far Apple hasn't fixed the issue and I suspect won't since they have taken a different direction with Notes under iOS 9 which may mean they are no longer supporting MS Outlook Notes.
