I Attempted to update my iPhone 5s with iTunes tonight and after the update was complete my phone went black. Once I clicked on the main button it asked me two or three questions and then went to a white screen that says, slide to update. When I swipe the screen nothing happens. I also can't power the phone off. Please help!

I Was doing the upgrade, that is when the issue occured. It appeared to be done! Now I get the apple screen, then it asks for my passcode, which it accepts. Then it goes back to the apple screen but with a gray bar under the apple symbol, that screen lasts a few seconds then a new screen that says update complete appears, I select continue (the only option) and it goes to the white screen that says >slide to upgrade. That is where my phone is stuck, you can't slide that screen.

Try the recovery mode. Turn your device off, then plug it to your computer with the home button pressed. Keep the Home button pressed until you see the iTunes logo on the screen of your device. After that on your computer you should see the iTunes window saying your device needs to be restored to factory settings. Click on the restore button.
