Battery got significantly worse with iOS 9.0.1

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced significantly worse battery issues with iOS 9.0.1

When I upgraded to iOS9.1 the battery became excellent on my iPhone 6. It was lasting upwards of 2 days - the best I have ever experienced with Apple.

When I upgraded to iOS9.0.1 this morning the battery is draining faster than a bath without a plug in it.

Does anyone have advice? Thanks in advance.

I updated this morning and am experiencing rapid drain of my battery on my iPhone 6. I have had to keep my phone plugged in so I can complete a phone call. The phone is heating up more than acceptable and the battery is draining 5% a minute on average since the update. NEED AN IMMEDIATE FIX ON THIS ONE.....

It seems that factory reset and restore my ip6+, the battery seems to behave like it should be. At least for one day that i observe it remains 100% after overnight. And when i texting with social apps, for about 10mins, the percentage drop was about 6%. To me, this is normal. I will continue to observe the battery behavior in coming days. Thanks for the info!

Hi peeps!

I had the same issue after IOS 9 update with my 5S. Tried all different things and finally one worked.

I turned off the cellular data and wifi off before going to sleep. The battery did not drain through out the night and when I connected back to the internet, my phone has started behaving. It's not heating up anymore and the battery usage is normal now.

Let me know if it works for you...

Cheers!

We're having problems with battery drain with both 4S and 5S. Wired suggested going to cellular data, scrolling to the bottom and turning off wifi assist. The 5S has this feature, the 4S does not. I've turned off cellular data on the 4S. We'll see if this makes a difference on either phone. We're used to 2 days of battery on both phones. This is a pain. Wish I'd never done the update.

Me too, I have thought about updating to ios 9.0.1 for a long time now I regret that decision, currently as of right now, my iPhone is plugged in because of having a phone call for about 10 minutes wastes about 20% of your battery. Apple is just going in reverse from their products even to their new ios. Next phone of choice is going to be Android.

Don't know if I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one, but wow, everyone! Same here, iPhone 6 and iPad mini both destroyed by the last two updates, first to go has been battery life on both, but also, slowwwww like never before, and everything keeps crashing! Was hoping to avoid factory reset, since it has not resolve things for everyone, so I sure hope Apple steps up for its customers, soon!!! These devices aren't only for luxury use anymore, they're necessities!

iOS 9 is terrible - since the upgrade, battery life is ZILCH. Can't get through a day! It is chewing up everything, running down th phone in less than one day. Something is very remiss with this OS. Very bad programming internally, very bad power management, very bad systems programming. This entire system needs to be reworked to resolve such disastrous issue. I severely regret this upgrade!!! There are some bad problems, I suspect way into the kernel of the OS.

Yikes, I really hope this gets fixed because I don't even know how to go back.
