Unable transfer data using "Move to iOS"

1. I was having the same issues and finally got it to work. I have a Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6S Plus. Here are the actions I took when I continued to get the connection error message on my Note 4.
2. I set the iPhone up as a new phone, connected it to my WiFi and updated it to iOS 9.1 and then reset the phone.
3. I googled "galaxy note 4 disconnects from wifi repeatedly" and completed both steps below:

If, however, the WiFi still disconnects then there must be something turning it off other than the features we disabled above.

I recommend that you put your phone in airplane mode when doing the transfer. My phone rang and I had to start all over. Also I went to the power settings and restricted all background data just to make sure that there wouldn't be any other interruptions. It took about 30 minutes for my transfer to complete since I had a lot of data to transfer. I hope this helps.

If you want to use Move to iOS to transfer data from Samsung Galaxy Note to iPhone, you should make sure that your iPhone is running iOS 9. And it is used when your iPhone is getting reset or when you changing a new phone.

Try this one solution:

1. On iPhone start http://drop2pc.com in Safari.

2. On HTC run QR scanner, scan QR code on iPhone.

3. Select content you need to transfer.

4. Download it on iPhone.

5. Well done.

What worked for me

1) You need to have all the latest firmware on both phone

2) You both phones to be on the same wireless network

3) Turn off 3G/4G/ Cellular data (i realise my note 3 keep disconnecting wifi the first few times, so by disabling the celuular data it sorta "force the phone to stay on wifi)

4) Proceed with transfer

Stupid solution, but it totally worked! Go figure.

I've tried all day to get this to work, nothing helps...suppose I'll be stuck with an android as I have to take my messages with me...took the shine off getting a new phone! And now the iphone won't even give me a code

i recently bought a 6s and I am facing the same issue.

MY old phone is nexus 4. Whenever I am going to the "enter code" page on the Move to IOS app on my android phone, wifi gets disconnected. I have tried all sorts of solutions written on this page but nothing is working for me

can anyone help.

You must have the latest version of "Move to iOS" - I was surprised to see that by the time I bought iPhone SE, the version I'd downloaded on my Android device was out of date (kept asking for a 10 digit code) as iOS device was providing a 6 digit code!

I was able to move my content from Samsung S4 to iPhone 5s only by connecting to the wifi network in Airplane mode.

I was having this issue, and the fix for me was to update the operating software on my Samsung phone, it worked perfectly after that.

Putting S7 Edge into airplane mode and it worked immediately!!! Thanks for the advice!
