My computer is OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5 and I have read so many ways to reset my keychain password and a lot of them say to click on key chain first aid but I don't have that on my computer when I open up Keychain Access.

When you open Keychain Access, go to the Menu and choose Keychain Access > Keychain First Aid
When I open Kaychain Access there is no menu
Are you certain?
Look in the menu bar when Keychain Access is open. You should see this..Click "Keychain Access" in the menu - then Keychain First Aid

I just tried the Keychain First Aid... It says that it couldn't unlock login.keychain, but it's unlocked already. Can't understand. May anyone help, please?
I've been having some missing password problems with Keychain and have tried to find the First Aid but when I do, as you have instructed, it's not on the menu at all. Would unselecting it from the iCloud settings in preferences have a similar effect?
I should add I'm on OS X EL Capitan (the latest version that just came out)
Are you in Yosemite or El Capitan? Apple has removed Keychain First Aid in El Capitan. Be sure you are fully updated to OS X 10.11.2. Previous versions of El Capitan would give the error you are seeing.
Sorry forgot to add I'm on EL Capitan in the original post. Ah I see.
Depress the ctrl key once do that you are seeing :
Finder - File - Edit – View – Go – Window – Help
Navigate to Go whilst depressing alt which then shows the file: Library
Which then shows a Keychains folder in the stack.
Drag that folder onto the desktop and reboot.
This then creates a new virgin Keychains folder which should resolve your problems.

it has made things worse. I no longer have any of my passwords stored on my mac.
EDIT I've reverted stuff back as that was terrible. Just going to re set any future missing passwords
The password issue is a small price to pay having myself been bombed by keychain reminders. Surely you have a list or a book where you keep your passwords for such incidents. Ive always used Address Book for clues of passwords which is essential in a business world. I've had no further Keychain issues at all since I posted this cure. Good Luck.
I use last pass to copy some for most situations but it hasn't been keeping up with some of them since El Capitan. I have a lot of accounts that I can't remember off hand too. It's just easier to create new passwords as they come up instead of one huge restart atm.
