Finding Apple Wallet app on iPad Air 2 & Mini 3

Help! I am trying to find the Wallet App on my iPad Air 2 and Mini 3. I am usually really good at these things, but for some reason I just can't seem to find the app. I added a credit card to my Apple Pay account on the Air 2, but can't find the Wallet app to pull it up. Any assistance?

iPad Air, iOS 9.0.1

The Wallet app is not included on any iPad model...the app is only usable with the iPhone.

You can still use Apple Pay...

Settings/Wallet & Apple Pay

You just can't use the Wallet app on the iPad.

Apple Pay is only compatible on Touch ID capable iPad devices like the mini 3, mini 4, Air 2 and iPad Pro. Payment is accomplished "in-apps" and not "in-stores" like the compatible iPhones are capable of. There is no need for the Wallet app with the iPad, that's why it's not provided.

OK, that makes sense then. Thank you very much for your reply. I didn't know the iPads Apple Pay was only useable for in-app purchases. That information is not easily understood on any of Apple's instructions for using Apple Pay. If it is written somewhere, I must have missed it.

I only have a 5s for now, so I will wait to use the Apple Pay feature in stores when I get a 6 or above.

That is patently absurd. I have never owned an iPhone. I have used iPad mini since it's debut. I carry it everywhere, and use it for everything (including making phone calls w/Ooma app And Google Voice). Everything, that is, except brick and mortar purchases. Thanks, Apple, for embarrassing me in front of my Android Pay-using friends.

Trying to imagine the rationale for that decision. They think we would never carry an iPad to a B&M location, even after they design them to be highly portable? I always have mine in airports, where I often make purchases and usually need to display my electronic boarding pass. Apple thinks it makes sense to make me bring out a second device?

No iPad has the near field communication system to allow the wallet app to be used with store payment scanners. Without the hardware to support the use of the app, there's no point having the app.

Whether iPads will ever get NFC systems is not known, but I'm sure if they ever do, the wallet app would be available to use with them.
