iPhone 6s freezes when unlocking

Hello,

I have an issue when using Touch ID to unlock the new iPhone 6s.

It freezes when the home screen is displayed for about 2 seconds after fingerprint unlock and you can't swipe or open any apps.

Very short amount of time but definitely freezing and not my imagination. Home screen apps have loaded up but you can't swipe or select apps.

I have tried the following:

1. Turning off Touch ID

2. Resetting phone

3. Turning on Touch ID

This seemed to temporarily solve the issue but now its back intermittently. Can anyone determine if this is a software or hardware issue with Touch ID?

The solution below worked for me! As I said in my previous post, I had the iPhone 6s since this Thursday, always connected over WiFi or 4G, but issue was still there. I first tried disabling Touch ID, rebooting and re-enabling Touch ID, but issue was still there. Also, it could't be Spotlight indexing after more than 3 days: indexig what, the entire web?

So this morning I disabled Live Wallpaper (I had it set on the Lock Screen) and back to Static Wallpaper on both Lock and Home Screens. Result: Touch ID "bug" instantly disappeared.

Try by yourself and let me know if it's working for you too. This would explain why it's only happening on 6s phones...

I just got my iPhone 6s plus 64gb about a week ago (running ios 9.0.1). Out of the box i noticed the unlocking animation was not normal. The moment i unlocked the phone with touch id or using passcode that the animation was as if i turned on reduced motion under accessibility in setting(icons did not have the fly onto springboard animation). At the same time when locking the phone the screen should go blank completely upon pressing the sleep button which it does not. It flashes the lockscreen for like a split second before going blank.

I proceeded to restore to ios 9.0.2 since it was available which i did through itunes. Setting up the phone as new never from backup. Everything seemed fine for the first few hours. Then i started noticing when unlocking the phone the animation would lag for about a second before displaying a normal springboard with the respective app icons. Fast forward 2 days later to today the locking the phone issue mentioned earlier is back and this lagging problem when unlocking is still apparent and interchanges between the reduced motion animation problem mentioned earlier(yes 2 issues happening now for unlocking) as well.

I hope this is purely software and they fix it because i dont want to change to a "new phone" when we all know its refurbished and may come with its own problems as well.
