iPhone 6s Distorted Sound

Hello All,

I have just received my iPhone 6S (iOS 9.0.1) and i'm really enjoying the new features, however I've noticed that when I have my Ringer Volume turned up full there is a slight crackling/distortion when playing sounds from the bottom external speaker.

The best way I've found to reproduce this issue is by going into settings, turning the ringer volume to full (having the ringer volume anything below full will stop the distortion) and then playing the ringtone "Opening", the speaker will make a minor distorting sound at the high points of the ringtone.

I've spoken to a friend who has a 6S Plus and they have reproduced the same issue, I would like to ask if anyone in the community could try the ringtone above and let me know if they get the same problems with the speaker?

I totally agree with mr3j ,honestly, what we need, is someone decently big in the media to address this problem and spread all over the INTERNET/MEDIA/ETC.

My iphone 6s was purchased on 9 October (date of launch here in Portugal), but I have many friends with the same distortion problem in the speaker than me. I'm trying to join them all to report this situation to APPLE in Portugal. I am waiting for about 2 weeks for a response by APPLE assistance to know if they will replace the iPhone or fix the one i sent to assistance..

It is a SHAME that equipment of this magnitude bring this type of failure, at least, APPLE has to enlighten customers and say whether it a hardware or software failure, because it will save us a lot of work, if is software, i will be much more rested.

But, ATTENTION, they can hide the speaker problem supposed to be of low quality, making a software update that slightly lower the volume of each sound of the mobile phone, so that this anomaly of the speaker is not noticed at all...

I SUGGEST TO YOU ALL TO SEND YOUR FEEDBACK OF YOUR ISSUE WITH THE SPEAKER FOR APPLE IHPONE TEAM WICH IT CAN BE POSSIBLE ON THROUGH THE LINK BELOW!

Another one for this problem. Listen to any security now podcast. Voice distorts. Seems to me male voices at low frequencies. Third phone now and same issue. Any low note piano track noticeable.

People, please try the track on Itunes "Agnes Obel- Chord Left" and you wil now if your phone have this problem ! My iPhone distorts too ! We have to complain to Apple.

That piano track is a good example. I have to bring down my speaker volume indicator 5 full notches to eliminate any speaker distortion.

Its a shame ! If anyone knows someone on media, please report this situation !!!!!!!!! Apple can't do this to clients !!!!!!! The speaker sound on iPhone 6s is awful!!!!

i am press reporter in punjabi news channel (Jus Punjabi). it is not easy to raise topic in media on just a simple speaker issue. unless someone file complaint against apple legally than we will raise this issue and make it viral on news. which force apple ti take immediate action

Gunnu0503, thanks for the help, I am trying to gather as many people as possible to come up with a complaint against APPLE. We have to get them to admit the error and replace the phones or the damaged hardware part, or at least, to make an update to solve the problem once for all...

They are very expensive phones, we can´t make this situation pass without doing nothing.

exactly raise complaint than we will surely help you... m also having same problem in my iphone 6. even in my replaced Phone (brand new) .never expect this from apple.. apple is known for design and quality.. if this continued than apple will soon loose its market.

hello Puds111just raise complaint in consumer court regarding cheap quality equipment used in high end device.. and bitter response by costumer support.. and ask for settlement. this will automatically makes this issue viral on media level ..

Easy way to demo. try the male voice for siri. distortion. this is not going to be fixed by software. i plan to return it and let apple find me a phone that is not defective. i have my 5 until that time. 🙂
