have plugged in Ipod to Itunes and Ipod device does not show up so I cannot manually sync music I have purchased from Itunes

I have plugged in my Ipod, opened Itunes, but my Ipod does not show up on the menu bar so that I can manually sync the songs I have just purchased from Itunes I have Windows 10, and an Ipod touch

iPod nano, iOS 6.0.1

If not:

iTunes: Fix iPhone or iPod Not Detected in Windows 10

Then

iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows

- I would start with

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

It does apply to Win 10

- Then do the other actions of:

iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

paying special attention to item #5

- New cable and different USB port

- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

- Try on another computer to help determine if computer or iPod problem
