My previous was an iPhone 5S, 16 Gig, which had 8 Gig left after iOS 9.0.1 and my apps, with backups. I just purchased a 64 Gig 6S that shows a capacity of 55.6 Gigs, with only 4.5 Gigs used and only have 51 Gigs left? I did try and reset, but the capacity remains the same. Thank you.

That is normal. 64 - 55.6 = the amount that the operating system and system files take up.
That is correct. Just like a 16GB iPhone doesn't actually have 16GB, a 64GB iPhone doesn't have 64GB.

64 advertised gigabytes equals 64 billion bytes. but 64 billion bytes equals around 59.6 actual GB of storage. Minus the space taken up by the OS and Apps, 55.6 is about right.
