iPhone 6s Plus battery percentage getting stuck

i have this same prob. it stays at 100% all day even though im using it, it then shuts down in the afternoon. and i have to reboot and charge again?? Im on Version 10.1.1 (14B100) and my software is up to date??? any ideas??

i actually have the same problems as you since i updated my iphone 6 to ios 10.1.1

Unfortunately no. I've done quite a few hard restarts and today I reset to factory settings and still have the same issue.

i recently purchased a 6S (non plus) and although the battery seems to last as long as my old 6, the percentage will decrease in small increments for general use (4% in a few minutes for Instagram), then remain stuck for other applications.

Watching YouTube videos will also drain considerably faster than my old 6.

In terms of fault finding, I have contacted apple support who ran a diagnostic and stated that the battery health is good. I have run the battery down until the phone switches off and charging to 100% to see if the battery will recalibrate. It does appear to be software related.

Failing that, the phone is eligable for the battery replacement program that apple is running.

If you have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know. I'd appreciate any advice.

If it's eligible for the battery replace program I would definitely suggest taking advantage of it. The eligible phones have batteries that are known to be bad and will fail prematurely.

Try these steps

1. Open Date & Time Settings.
2. Toggle the switch for Set Automatically Off and On multiple times or switch Time Zones.
3. Restart the iPhone

I know it is silly that you have to so such a thing.

I found taking a hammer to it helps. FYI IPHONE 7 plus i was forced to get is even worse. Apple producing crap products now. This reply will probably get deleted by apple stalin.

Why do you think it will be deleted? The Terms of Use do not have a prohibition against posters making fools of themselves.

All the people i know who have the 6s plus are having issues and appletards are ignoring it and keeping it hush. When i was trading in my 6s plus i was not alone. So i guess we are all fools for buying apple crap.

Well, had the battery replaced on my 6S and now getting 6-7 hours on usage.

My problem was hardware related.
