iPhone 6 Plus and iOS 9 major lag

Hello!

I just wanted to check how many of you have a bad and not stable/laggy experience with iOS 9 on your newer devices (iPhone 6 and 6 plus)? After I updated my phone a week ago, my phone feels like it was made at least 5 years ago performance wise. EVERYTHING is laggy. From scrolling, writing, opening and closing apps, animations, to the worst lagfest of them all - the new appswitcher. How is it possible that such a new device, iPhone 6 Plus, performs in such a horrible way with the new iOS? Do you guys know if Apple has acknowledged this problem? I can't seem to find anything online stating this fact except for same threads as mine. This is not acceptable in any way, shape or form. We've reached all the way up to iOS 9 and Apple should not release such a poor excuse of an iOS to the public in such a manner. Furthermore this problem doesn't seem to be exclusive for the phones as I am experiencing exactly what was mentioned above on my iPad mini 2.

Does anybody have some insight into this problem?

I just made an interesting observation guys! I bought a new iPhone 6 for my girlfriend a couple of days ago, the silver 64 gb model and the first thing I did was to compare its performance with my 6 plus 128gb model. Her phone doesn't lag at all and runs very smoothly on all tasks. I just can't figure out what the **** is going on with our 128gb models. Also like someone stated previously in this thread, the performance issues seem to be connected by one common factor, all of us have the 128gb iPhone 6 Plus model..

Bought my iPhone 6 Plus less than 6 months back and it already performs like a 3-year-old phone. It stutters here and there, some of the animations look like they're rendering at 10fps, apps (even the native ones) crash or get stuck from time to time. I once missed a very important call because the phone was ringing, but not responding to my touch commands. I'm waiting to see if iOS 9.1 is going to fix these issues or else I'll have no choice but to say goodbye to iPhone after more than 7 years of loyalty. I never forget the year 2008, when iPhones used to be light years ahead of anything else in the market, known for their robust and crash-free OS and buttery smooth transitions. Well, not anymore.

I also just updated to iOS 9.1. I read the complete update log and it was stated that there were optimizations done to the multitasking features, however my phone hasn't changed at all for the better. There is still lag when doing most of the tasks. Now suddenly my spotlight searching feature is lagging like never before. I mean the one where you swipe from up to down on the home menu. I can't even begin to express how frustrated and angry I am that a **** device that is 1 generations old is performing like this....

No improvement that I can see. Careful installing 9.1. I doesn't didn't fix the apps not updating bug and seems to have killed iMessage. I'm currently trolling for a fix for that. Still can't backup to iCloud and this hasn't worked since ios8. The new function of sketching in the note program still isn't working. I'm very disgusted with apple right now. I've had issues with upgrading both my iphones, imac and macbook pro.

I have two major problem after my upgrade to iOS 9.1 beside the Lagging issue...

First: I used to deal with contacts as to write down the names and get it once I write the initial, middle, last name...etc., now after I update my iOS to 9.1, I can see the full contacts but when I search for some names specific , it says at the middle of the screen "No Results"... this is the first time I witness this kind of problem.

Second: as long as I go through the upgrades of iTunes and Or iPhone, starting from iTunes Version 12.XXX there is no any Conacts Sync between iTunes and MS Outlook 2010 even if it's enabled in iTunes, so I return back to Version 11.XXX and it's working by this old version.

Finally, I need apple to answer on these two major problems ASAP

Thats right my friend. I dont know how many complaints it will takes to apple realize that this is a mayor problem. Makes me sick dealing with all the lags. Please apple do something!. I really apreciate all the advices given before for turning the phone a little bit faster in the meanwhile, It helped me and thanks for that, but guys, we are not supposed to be dealing with it. Its an apple problem! Lets encourage friends with the same issue to complain about it.

The answer is easy. Apple has been so keen on making more profits they cheap out by shipping iPhone 6+ phones with the same amount of RAM as the 3-year-old iPhone 5. Also, iOS 9 does a lot of activities in the background (constant spotlight indexing and SIRI suggestions' processing to name a few). The phone just cannot cope with it without stuttering. Even the previous versions of iOS were not running so smoothly on iPhone 6+ phones. Apple already knows this and I don't think any future iOS 9.X update would fix this problem unless they disable certain features or processes that run in the background. To me, workarounds like disabling the transparency effect or Siri suggestions doesn't make any sense, especially knowing that we're talking about a 1-year-old phone with a $1000 price tag.

IPhone 6 has the same amount of ram and no laggy issues. iPhone 6+ is only suffering device, as far as I have tested them. The only difference between the devices is pixel count, everything else is the same. I don't think it's the ram issue.

EDited: Just tested RAM usage with siri suggestions and transparency enabled and disabled - only 60mb difference. So it's down to animation that the chip can't handle due to increased pixel count. I would assume Apple has to optimize animation better for bigger device.
