All my usage total up doesn't match the total shown by icloud

What does it say at system preferences > iCloud > manage.

I have the exact same issue, I've lost 1.25Gb since updating to IOS9. I've deleted my IOS backups and turned off Photo Library but I still seem to have 1.25Gb of latent backup. Is there a way to purge my drive to get my 5Gb back?

Yes, but it will also tell you how it arrived at that value and if there is a discrepancy you should be able to evaluate it.

I had a similar problem after my iOS update. My back up wouldn’t complete, it showed up as 0 Kb, the next back up showed up as 0Kb and I didn’t get an option to delete my existing back up.

I turned back up off and whilst I didn’t then get an option to delete my previous back up, the previous back up (0 Kb) did disappear of it’s own accord. I was then able to turn back up back on, the 0 Kb back up did not reappear and I was able to start and complete a new back up.

Some have reported that after they turn back off, the previous back up (0 Kb) does not disappear or that if it does it reappears when back up is turned back on (although they are then able to make a new back up providing they have space).

It seems that in some case the 0Kb back up is corrupted data and does indeed take up space in the cloud and it doesn’t appear that this can be removed by the user, if this is what has happened in your case, contact Apple Support, (change country if necessary) they have been able to remove the corrupted data for some users.

Is this a Federal Trade Commission FTC issue? Is there some un-ethical overselling of a service being done by Apple Corporation to unknowingly trick a user community into buying something they do not really need due to false advertising?

I'm having the same issue as Zeuscool. There is nothing in my backups to delete yet it shows as taking up 2.2 GB. Everything else in my icloud (Documents & Data and Mail) add up to 11.1 MB, yet iCloud is saying 2.8 GB available of 5.0 GB on iCloud.

You don't show the multicoloured bar under the 'Done' button, does that shed any more light on the matter, is it the space allocated to back up that doesn't add up.

By way of example, mine match.

Got this fixed. Apple support has a backend tool to release "reserved" storage. Once they did this my "phantom" backups disappeared and freed up my iCloud storage space.
