Got my screen fixed now it wont work

today I dropped my phone and my screen cracked severely. I went to a local I Fix It store and they said it was nothing more than a cracked screen and replaced the screen. Now every time i press the home button or the lock button to see my screen my screen starts off bright and then fades into a reddish hue. It also wont let me move my screen at all. it is stuck. Is this just a problem of a scam or is something seriously wrong with my phone?

Even if it weren't, you can not longer get support or service from Apple for that phone.

Apple does not sell iPhone parts. Having it opened and serviced by an unauthorized party means you have forfeited all rights to service from Apple for that device.

If whoever replaced the screen can't fix it, then see if you can find a competent 3rd party who can or just buy a new phone.

Sorry.

No, it can't actually. Apple charges a flat rate for repairs. Screen replacements are around $100 depending on model. Out of warrant phone replacements range from $149 to $369. Half of the retail price at most. Apple does not actually repair phones (except for screen replacements) in store. They replace the device entirely.

If you are referring just on the screen.. you are correct. The Apple Store will run diagnostics and fix small repairs. Anything other, they will be sent off to be repaired.. And that's where the cost can increase. After you add labor, the parts, shipping, taxes, etc., it could be cheaper just to buy a new one compared to spending the money and fixing it.. Again this depends on the situation. The Apple Store will replace the glass on the phone.
