Hi guys,

I started to have this problem 10 days ago, I have 6s and I have been using it since March, everything was Okay, but now this problem started, when it happens, I need to turn it on many times because everytime I turn it on, it would turn off again

Is it because I changed the sim card? I was using *** network (Portuguese one) and now I am using Telforn (Dutch one)

The phone would say that there is no batter but the batter is full

Please help, I can see the diagnosis logs,

Should I send it ?

Regards

So I was happy to discover the last update 10.1, and immediately installed it...

I first thought the issue was solved.. unfortunately it happens again, less often but anyway with no reason it shuts off whatever the level of the battery, and needs many tries to start reloading after being plugged.

there is a succession of "dong" like when you connect your iPhone , then the apple appears, then nothing comes, the screen gets black again, then "dong", then the apple... and suddenly it stays awaken, with the battery at the level it had when it stopped...

very irritating and frustrating...

Latest update on this subject, I had same power off issue last day, so went to the Apple authorized distributor in Dubai where I purchased the mobile, and they directed me to their service center. Mobile was diagnosed with battery and software issues, and they gave me choice to replace it with a refurbished phone. Can you believe, they are giving a used and repaired phone, with a nice term 'Apple refurbished Iphone'. I tried to negotiate getting a new phone as the problem is entirely Apples's design, and the phone is still under one year warranty. Can someone look into this matter? I know I am in a wrong complaint discussion board.

Last two guys, this issue has affected some users recently. me included. No one knows whether it is a hardware or a software problem. I suggest you take a look at this discussion on the MacRumors forum because I do not see the point of repeating everything what has been described there:

Not specific to MaxVa

But since the last updates 10.1.1

It's seems this worked so far.

I also had some luck as well as setting screen brightness to medium when possible helps drastically.

Prior to the update I set screen brightness to medium using the slide bar, and ensured low power mode was on, which after hard reset would switch off again.

But yes upgrade to newest iOS and it seems better, have had the phone to below 20% a few times since and no issues. Battery seems to drain relatively fast but it's a year old now, and been charge cycled probably 300 times...

Hope everyone else gets similar results we can move past this issue.

Unfortunately that is not the case. I have experienced this issue running 10.1.1, I have even done a DFU restore to 10.1.1 to no avail. My phone is now in repairs with Apple.

What you are describing looks like a workaround to me. You've figured out that the phone is more likely to shutdown when running an intensive task, so you just disable background app refresh, etc. Sure, if you don't use your phone it probably will go all the way down to 1%. But the phone is not supposed to shut down like that anyways, so I'd rather get it fixed than settle for a workaround.

And again, what is the evidence it is a software glitch? Me dealing with this problem for about a month now tells me it's a hardware defect.
