iPod Classic won't sync after installing Windows 10

I have recently downloaded the free version of Windows 10 (something that I now regret ever doing), and had issues with getting my iPod Classic to connect to iTunes.

After un-installing and re-installing iTunes, I have managed to get my iPod to connect to iTunes. However, I now can't get my iPod to 'Sync' my music to my iPod.

I have tried lots of suggestions via the Internet (checking Apple Support Drivers and un-installing and re-installing again) but, so far have found no answers.

I have seen a suggestion that says to Restore Factory Settings on my iPod... but I'm nervous that I will then lose the music that is currently on the iPod and not able to get music back onto it.

Is there anybody who can help?

Hi there. I had no sooner sent a reply when I got mine working. Hope this is all that is wrong at your end also. Just under the File Edit View Controls menu items at the top of the ITunes screen, you see some small icons. There is an icon for a music note, a movie, tv screen etc. When you connect the ipod you now an ipod icon there. Click on this and a window opens showing its capacity, serial number and software version. In this same window you see some options. On mine there was a check mark beside "manually manage music and videos". When I unchecked this option the ipod synced as normal. Hope this helps.
