Has any one come up with the command for enabling select and copy text in the QuickLook view.
The old default commands do not seem to work any more??

It appears the QLEnableXRayFolders default also no longer works in El Capitan. Perhaps there are bigger changes to QuickLook than we previously thought.
El Capitan: Quicklook select/copy/paste works in rtf, rtfd, txt files as usual. As does the spacebar to start QL.
you have to set "allow copy operations when text is displayed"
you can do that with the mentioned ElCapitan command in terminal or TinkerTool.
It does not work anymore for pdf ...
The Spotlight method is great, as I said before...

I downloaded TinkerTool, browsed every section, and could not find "Allow copy operations when text is displayed" or anything like it. I'm running OS X 10.11.6. Are you sure?

Ah, I see the option now but for me the box is both greyed out and not checked, even though via Terminal it's clear that the option is active.
The standard command to make text selection (and copy) available in ElCapitan is:
defaults write com.apple.finder QLEnableTextSelection -bool TRUE; killall Finder
This does not work anymore, because it is blocked by SIP.
After disabling SIP, the command works all right, in the SIP disabled system.
But when you enable SIP again, it is not working anymore.
It is not worth to disable SIP in my opnion to have the option in Quicklook back.
I have not found any hack that returns the option without disabling SIP.
