Just downloaded the new update for iOS 9, my podcast app still crashes, when is the real fix coming out? It's been 3 weeks since I updated to ios9 and have not been able to access my podcasts since.

Super frustrating. Just downloaded latest software update 9.1 and now I can't search on Podcast. It just shuts down and closes the app. My list of current podcasts is there, but I can't search for new ones. Apple - please patch this up quickly. Love my podcasts!
For what it's worth I've moved to Overcast and thus far the experience is far better than with the current iteration of Apple's Podcasts app (Overcast is free now). The changeover was of course a bit of a hassle but it was rather indicative - I'd open Overcast and almost instantly add a podcast subscription. I'd switch back to Podcasts to unsubscribe to that podcast, and see what else I needed to subscribe to, and Podcasts would hang and hang and hang. Finally I'd get the view of my podcasts. OK, good, insta-flip back to Overcast to subscribe to the next one, quick and easy! Switch back to Podcasts to unsubscribe and see what else was on my list ... and wait to just see the display. And so on.
I have this problem too. I am a full-time student that uses iPodcast as supplement and tried everything. I hope that have a fix soon.😟
I have the same problem-- even after upgrading to 9.1 the Podcast app will not stay running for more than a few seconds before it crashes. 😟
Try turning off Apple sharing in iTunes. I've already deleted the podcasts in my podcast app and switched to Overcast but I found the Apple home sharing in iTunes still turned on after I'd turned off everything else that might have caused the iPad to continue trying to pull in the feeds that I'd deleted.
Maybe this will work for others in the short term.
