Secure Empty Trash missing on El Capitan

Just installed El Capitan and discovered that the Secure Empty Trash feature is missing. Anyone know how to get this back?

Inadequate. Many of us have Macs with hard disks. My Mac Pro has four. And the argument about files needing to be encrypted from creation is only partially correct. There might be a file that comes from another source, such as incoming email, that should be handled as sensitive but you don't know until you look at it. Also, the secure erase of free space is also missing under El Capitan.

Interestingly enough, a genius at the Apple store told me that if you go to the menu bar, select finder>hold option and then select the option shift command delete function, this will securely erase the trash with external drives running on hard disks. This is unfortunately not true. I purposefully put folders with files that I didn't need from my external hard drive in the trash, Just to try this out. The only thing which happened is the same exact thing that happens when you empty the trash normally. You hear the trash sound, and there's nothing left in the trash bin. Previously, when you securely empty trash you would see a dialog box, and it would show you that it was actually writing over that space on said hard drive. That is no longer the case. My question then is, why bother having that option in the first place unless it is an acknowledged bug?

Also, and this might seem like a stupid comment, but... How difficult would it really be in order to have separate trash bins for separate volumes? I can't imagine it would be that difficult.
