After installing to day new El Capitan OS... without any problem
In iMovie, I lost all my "Cinema" copy movies , I mean the transferred "cinema" one. All original ones were there !
I've tried to get back the cinema movies with Time Machine, but the file copied were the "Library" movies
Then a new problem appear: Can't delete completely the imported file
Any tips ?

I also have a similar problem. All my Theater movies are gone...
However my iPhone and iPad shows all my movies in the app but its struggling to play them only showing me the buffering animation.
I can reupload 2 out of 13 of my videos but if they exist somewhere I would rather wait.
Any help would be appreciated!!
In the middle of an iMovie 09 project and since the EC OS update all my still photographs have gone missing.
The thumbnails and a small mov clip are still showing, but the transitioning still images just show as blank spaces.

All stll image shows as blank space, Iphoto no longer compatible with El Capitan, it asked me to download new Iphoto from app store. app store do not have new Iphoto.
also, in my project, when mouse move to review video file, thumbnails on left reverse (upside down) image, preview plays correct.
All message window are blank white, unable to read what they are loading.
is this temporary?
Same problem. I bought my MacBook Pro three weeks ago. One major reason I did so was for the ease of syncing iMovie projects across all my apple devices (especially apple TV).
Now after updating to EC, the theater says i need to turn on iCloud drive, but it is already on. Can't see any of my theater projects on the MacBook anymore. Ugh...
Same problem : only two of my 20 videos are available in the Cinema (Theater) tab after the El Capitan upgrade. The missing ones are still in the Library. Mister Apple, can you fix that or should I share again all the projects with "Cinema" ?

I have the same issue.
SInce installing El Capitan, iMovie has been rendered almost unusable. All photos are gone. I can no longer open previously-built iMovie projects.
I have the same problem. I tried to sign off from iCloud and log on again, but it didn't help. I hope they will fix it soon.
same here, no theater content. best part of the apple editing experience and it's not working...
How widespread is this problem? Has iMovie Theater been working for anyone since updating to El Capitan?

I found that new offspring iMovie 10.1 were proposed to download !
Then, after installation, all my movies theater are back !

Ever since I installed the new Apple Update "Capitan", I can't see my movies on iMovie anymore, I can't edit anything I had before the update, do you know what happened or what to do? everything else on my other apps is fine but not on iMovie... :/
