Upgraded my Mac Pro to El Capitan, all went well. I logged in, then logged into iCloud and that also went well. But then it crashed with a kernel panic, restarted OK.
It now is running OK but after a few minutes it will log me off and back to the password prompt. Very frustrating and not able to work with it in such very short windows of time.
Anybody else seeing this?

Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11)
I got sick of waiting for a fix so I got rid of my 2 gt-120 cards and bought a gtx-760 so now have 2 displays running off that and a 3rd running off my hd 5770 and had no problems since. Still a bit annoyed I had to shell out on a new card and leads though
Was there something you *needed* in El Cap? Otherwise, you could have just reverted back to the version you were using before........
has anyone tried the 10.11.1 beta to see if that helps? I know 10.11.1 beta 4 was released recently.

What are the odds...looks like Apple just released 10.11.1. Going to install and see if it makes a difference.
no went about 2 minutes looked very hopeful but log out on me..
10.11.1 is not compatible with the latest nVidia Web drivers. After update I received message saying they were not compatible and Check for Updates says no updates are available.
I have been running 10.11.1 about 1/2 hour with no problem.
Using GT 120 and a PC 5770 with one monitor on each card.
Use Separate Spaces is also checked.
2009 Mac Pro
I updated to 10.11.1 and now I don't even get a screen. I get the ding and everything go blanks after a bit and nothing. Arg! And my bug submission came back saying it was not their API causing the issue.
The 10.11.1 update did not fix the problem. Hopefully Apple or NVIDIA fixes this issue and not force us to get new display cards.

Well, 22 days into the problem I have tried the update and had 5 "log outs" within as many minutes. I suppose I have to assume it will take another 22 days before there is another attempt without any promise of success.
Given that I have seen zero official recognition or mention of the problem that we all have, or that anybody is even working on it, it has to be time to give up and move back to Yosemite and with a very bad will toward Apple over this I have to say. It is just not good enough.

No change. Still logs out immediately when Spaces enabled
