phone no longer connects to wifi after 9.0.2

Sounds like a solution MANY of us should be able to benefit from.

How old was your phone, which model, and how did apple determine the phone was defective ?

I have a 22 month old iPhone 5S and my wife has a 1 month old 6S .... could they both be defective ?

We have a iphone 5, 5c and 6 all no problem with wifi after update yet. My ipad did a week later but ended up being the router. I personally have been anti iphone but have ordered the 6s plus. I have been android with Samsung notes. I am going to give try but Verizon has push my delivery back again due to no phones available. Have you talked to Apple Techs?

1. Interesting, I restarted my router several times, what was your issue with your router ... mine is actually a gateway [router/cable modem combo]
2. I'll be talking to Apple Tech and let everyone know the results

My iPad kept saying invalid password but when I would log out of my android phone and reenter password it would work. So after 1.5 hours of trying stuff we hung up in wait for me to get to my home network I decided to reset our apple router and it connected fine. I don't now what the deal was but no problems now. Hope you get help.

forgive me for not being the biggest tech savvy person.... but i'm not fully convinced that my ipad issues are related to a router. i'm traveling internationally and am dependent on wifi, and have used numerous wifi networks in the past few months. my ipad suddenly stopped connecting to wifi last week and i've tried at least 5 or 6 different wifi networks. what would the chances be of all of the routers being down?

I Have an ipad air 10 months old and an i pad i bought 12 months ago both new. The ipad air i updated ten days ago and no problems. The WIFI on the Other ipad has not worked since i updated midnight Oct 12 two days ago. I have turned off the router, cycled the ipad, checked everyhing else and although it finds a list of networks the circle of doom jus keeps not connecting to mine and i have no internet. Thank god i have two which worked through 9.01. But only one works now. it is almost a year ago i bought it just before the new release. has apple any solutions yet or are we destined to learn the hard way that updating system hardware is a no no for a few months at least. And then never to the most recent version. it used to be only microsoft that issued beta software. Now without Jobs Apple is succumbing to the convenience.

A miracle just occurred, we are able to join our home network [both the almost 2 year old 5S and the brand new 6S].

Good thing because if people started going over their data plans and incurring overage charges due to cellular data access fees, lawyers would have been engaged by impacted iPhone, iPad owners. Some people depend on data access do do their jobs.

Stay tuned, when we leave the house, hopefully the iPhones will automatically reconnect with out issue when we get back...

SAme here. Just as I had given up I could here the whelp of a message. I have to agree with you on the phone thing. Thats why i dont use cellular. Did for many years. That and rhe monthend bill in Canada

hmmm, no luck here on getting my ipad to connect to any wifi networks. glad it's now working for you. i'm traveling internationally but don't have any international data plans... have been dependent on wifi so can't say that i have a home network. i think i can only hope that the next ios update will fix this situation, otherwise my ipad is useless to me.

THer is an other site thet lists alll the options to connect. Most involve turning the wifi off in Settings Shutting down the Ipad and starting up again later. I tried and ididnt work but a few hours later while it was off I came home and turned it on and reconnected wifi not expecting anything. Shortly after I heard the message noise

Connected my iphone to my Imac using my charger cable via usb into my imac. Then in settings i forgot my wifi network. Then I re-established my wifi network and voila I could see wifi on my iphone. Now I am downloading 9.01 update on my iphone, then I plan to download iphone 9.02. Downloaded 9.02 earlier this am on my ipad2 and have wifi connectivity. Something strange is going on, but this worked for me.

ridiculously frustrated. my ipad mini has not been able to connect to wifi ever since the 9.0.2 update. updated to 9.1 today with high hopes that the problem would be fixed, but still unable to connect.

to recap -- the list of wifi networks comes up but it won't connect, saying that the password is incorrect or that it is unable to join. i've tried probably a dozen different networks without success but my laptop/iphone are able to connect just fine. i've turned off/on wifi, soft reset, turned off wifi assist, reset network settings, reset all settings -- nothing is helping. tried to erase the whole ipad and restore back-up, but it won't recognize my apple password either.

have any of you out there with the same problem found a fix?
