Apple cable

I noticed that my Apple cable no longer works in my car on the Apple 6. Strange, since I bought it at an independent Apple store. It is marked with Apple logo and all.

I have read that Apple, in its continued desire to profit on whatever it can, has somehow stopped the phone from recognizing some cables. As a stockholder, I like them making money🙂. As a consumer, i think it is a two-bit, stupid marketing ploy. 😠

Has anyone had any luck with getting Apple to replace these cables?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.1, null

If it's an Apple cable and Apple determines that it's under warranty and if there's no obvious damage, the cable will be replaced.
