Notification Center Missing All Widgets?

I just updated to OS X El Capitan - 10.11 - from Yosemite.

Since the update, Notification Center now only lists my today and tomorrow.

Stocks, calculator, weather and all others have disappeared; the widgets are simply not there.

When I click edit, nothing is available to add (see image below). When I go to the App Store, the Apple widgets are not available.

Anyone else having the same issue? Anyone have a solution?

MacBook Pro (17-inch Late 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7

This worked for me, though I had to hit command R to enter recovery mode rather that hold down the alt key as described. Basically you open up Teminal in recovery mode type turn off System Integrity Protection by typing in csrutil disable followed by the return key, restart you mac, log in and it should be fixed.

Shut down your computer enter recovery mode again and turn on System Integrity Protection again by typing csrutil enable Restart your computer again, Done!
