Problem with Kernel Task - El Capitan

Since I have upgraded my MacBook Pro to the new OS, when it is unplugged, the Mac slow down and the Cpu usage is from 120 % to 300 % ( the process is Kernel Task).. What can I do?

Hi Badgermonkey,

I tried to do what you wrote but I have a MacBookPro11,3 and this file is not in the file.
The higher MacbookPro plist is the 8,3.
What do I have to do ?

Thanks for the advice. I did all you said, but system doesn't let me move/delete the model identifier file that needs to be moved out from the folder. Any advice?? Thank you in advance:)

The bottom line is the battery. If the battery is shot then replace and issue solved. I've fixed 2 different MacBook pros with that kernel issue and working on a 3rd as of today.
