How do I disable game center in iOS9?

double check settings - game center.

Turn off cellular data in the settings for the individual games. I think that has worked for me.

I think I finally figured this out, I did two things:

Settings

> Game Center

>> sign out

Settings

> Cellular

>> Game Center

>>> toggle off

I hope that works.

You're right, I'm wrong. The **** thing is popping up again.

Disable Game Center, IOS 9 Follow the Last suggestion - whilst the game lags, I guess trying to communicate with GC - the Pop-up does not get delivered...🙂

GC did pop-up the other day, so I repeated the process (locking your account does not work as I tried that as well) - this time with the GC app, had to wait an inordinate amount of time for that to load. Again presented with the T's and C's and a Disagree button. Suffered the one Pop-up, filled in my details - after a period of time GC reverts you to the Login request again (seemingly I fail to sign in as I am not compliant to the terms and conditions). Cancel out the pop up and you should be free'd of game interruption (albeit the lag)

If Microsoft was taken to court for monopolising the browser with Internet Explorer, shouldn't Apple be for Game Centre in iOS 9? How many times do I have to disagree to using Game Centre before it stops appearing?

I've been having the same issue ever since I did the last iOS update and it is getting so annoying (not to mention GC is slow to load) that I almost wish for an Android. I didn't have this issue before the upgrade and I've tried a number of suggestion from the countless threads on this subject but so far nothing works.

I Finally got the sign in request to stop by going to settings>notifications>Game Center

i had already set the Allow Notifications to off but that hadn't helped. So I turned it back on. Then I made sure to turn off the four options that popped up. Then I turned off Allow Notifications again. Now I no longer get the pop up requsting a login. YMMV but it worked for me.

I got this procedure from an online chat with Apple support:

Open the Game Center App. Login, then log out.

Force close the Game Center app so it's not in the background.

Open your game and close Game Center. Close the game app and then force close it from the background. Repeat this 3-4 times until it (game center) does not come up when you open your game.

Go to settings, and log out of the app store.

Turn off your phone.

Wait 3-4 minutes.

Turn on your phone.

Open your game and Game Center should remain off/disabled.

Did this procedure earlier today and no game center on my games so far. Hope it lasts.

I logged back into the app store with no ill effects. Game center remains disabled...so far.

Game Center is a VERY annoying app! I've been reading up on how to get control of it and so far nothing is working! I tried disabling it in notifications and in the app itself. But still when I load up Clash of clans or boom beach or starwars commander or any other game I get that stupid welcome message from game center. I want it to stop welcoming me! I want it deleted off my phone! **** it give me some control over it because so far NOTHING is working on my iPhone 6!

Otherwise I'll see if I can get an android phone and then tell my friends through various social networks how bad ios9 is! Game center must go! I don't want it! I dont use it! it is very invasive and is not making me a happy customer considering this is my very first iPhone purchase!

There is no login on option for the app on my iPhone6. I click the app and it just opens with my name there. No login or off options. I have tried something similar to the above and it worked briefly but then it comes back greeting me when I load a game.

Open the Game Center app.
