mail attachments: view as icon vs. inline

I have found a pretty nasty bug (in my opinion) and I can readily replicate it. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a solution.


• If you attach a picture and allow it to be viewed inline before sending, it will appear fine on a PC.


• If you attach a picture and allow it to be viewed as an icon before sending, it will appear as a tiny thumbnail on a PC.


There used to be 3rd party solutions for this, such as Attachment Tamer...but it hasn't worked since Yosemite came out, I believe. Of course, this only occurs in Apple Mail. Other email clients don't do this. In fact, Apple Mail via iCloud Webmail will not do this either.


Any other possible solutions? I much prefer using icons in attachments rather than inline.
