I have a MacBook air (middle 2013) with OS X Yosemite (10.10.5) installed.
I would upgrade to OS X El Capitan but I want to be sure that this new Mac OS support my modem Huawei E3131.
Someone has tried to upgrade and know if the USB stick works well?

Today I updated a macbook pro retina mid 2014, two days before I used my huawei usb modem E303 without problems, after the update it is not working now...
After delete/reinstall Is working now... 🙂 I have to download another app to do, if you need some help I'm here.
I'm wrong to push the button that your procedure solve my issue. 😊
Anyway, Do you have to delete and reinstall the OS (El Capitain)? 😕

Not, I uninstalled the original application of the usb modem and I installed this app from here https://www.swisscom.ch/en/residential/help/downloads/inhalt/mobile-unlimited/sw isscom/USB-Modem-E303.html
then I setup manually the modem Network options.
Hi I'm just upgraded my osx yesterday to El Capitan, But my modem can't detected after upgrade, But I find the solution for this, I'm just download again the latest driver from their official website (the latest driver is for Yosemite but it's still work on the new El Capitan on my mac ) http://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/products/downloads/e3131-en.htm and just re-install the driver, just follow the instruction on the document included on the download.

Hi Opraz17, I did what you told ud, but when clicking on install i got a message saying "Error there's nothing to be installed"... Weird! 😟

You can download the working version from here. The language appear to be portuguese but everything is in english. Have tested most of the software available for OSX El Capitan only this one worked.

This worked for my huawei model E3372H on Macbook Pro - 13" retina - OS X El Capitan 10.11.3. The same driver at Huawei site is supposed to support multiple models
