Fcpx 10.2.2 crashes after installing OS X El Capitan

Hello everybody.

Fcpx 10.2.2 keeps crashing after installing OS X El Capitan 10.11 last night. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Does anyone else have this same problem? I wonder if Apple is aware fo this and if we can expect an OS X update to solve this bug.

Thanks.

I solved the crash problem, just installed the drive Nvidia by http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/92173/en-us address

Test there, really works 🙂

Yes this seems to work! - I had tried installing the bog standard CUDA driver from the NVIDIA website & that did nothing to improve the situation, but your plain old 'driver' installation seems to have done the trick - good find & to anyone downloading - make sure you follow the link!!!!!!

ps. all these driver problems, reminds me of windows. Apple please sort your **** out, you supplied these machines to us after all!

I have the 3) FCPX crashing when using the stabilisation or optical flow analysis (if you have an NVIDIA card, this issue is fixed by installing the old NVIDIA driver) issues.

Just tried installing the driver as per the link and get this message:

Mac OS X version 10.11.1 (15B30a) is not supported with this package. Please see NVIDIA’s website for further driver information.

So frustrating!!!

Looking at 'about my mac' it seems I have this graphics card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX 1024 MB and I am running El Captain 10.11.1 Beta so not sure if that is a problem installing the driver?

Help!

UPDATE:

It seemed me being on the El Capitan 10.11.1 Beta was the issue in installing the old NVIDIA driver. I installed the current public release of El Capitan and got rid of my beta. This allowed me to instal the driver from the link mentioned and quite amazingly, FCP no longer crashes when performing stabilization!!!

AMAZING! I am so happy this is fixed.

I did get a pop up message saying my NVIDIA driver was out of date though and would I like to update it. I assume I just ignore this for now and carry on with the old one I installed?

Thanks for the help!

Just to be a bit more organized here, yes, installing the NVIDIA driver from the link (http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/92173/en-us) stopped FCPX from crashing when stabilizing here too. My question is why have a few posters called this an "old" or even "ancient" driver. What the **** am I missing because this driver was posted October 1 and I even searched around and found articles confirming it is indeed a new driver update.

Thanks, this fixed the stabilization crashing. The only side effect is my transitions have a weird solid yellow color bar on the bottom. (not in the video but on the timeline) Not sure if that is just a similar bug to what's in the dashboard timecode. But at least it's not crashing with stabilization being applied. Thanks again.
