Preview not showing JPG Images

After updating to El Capitan, when i open a JPG Image, its window is completely black. (Doesn't Happen with PNG or other files). The thumbnail shows the image OK but the main window is black.

Has anybody seen the same? any solution? I tried to delete the preferences plist for Preview but didn't help

I have now been able to control creation of the green overlay.

If the scaling setting for images settings is "1 image pixel to 1 screen pixel" I get the result shown above. If I make the window smaller, the image is covered completely by the gren overlay.

If I change the default to the other setting:

and closes the program followed by reopening the same "troubled" image, there's no green overlay. Neither at default size, when opening, nor when making the window smaller.

I use a dual monitor setup, and when I move the application to my other monitor (1920 x 1080 with setting 2 above) and select Zoom to 1-to-1 there's no problem, but when I play with the scaling buttons (full, -, 1 and +), the second monitor will show various versions of "green overlay" interspersed with no "overlay" or a delayed "green overlay". This does NOT happen, when I use my main monitor (1920 x 1200 with the Previewer setting as in example 2 above).

There's still a problem, but the degree depends on settings and monitors. As well as the El Capitan version (this is for El Capitan 10.11.1).
