The widget for the Weather Underground app (pull down menu) stopped working with the new iOS 9. Seems like it is having trouble getting the information. Anyone else ahving this problem? Any ideas on how to fix?

Tbe latest two versions of the app (5.3.1) freeze on my iPhone. It installs, but freezes within the first few minutes of use.
I've deleted it, cleared the iPhone's memory allocation, cleared the cache, etc., then reinstalled the app four times to no avail.
I can only guess it is some type of conflict with iOS or another app, even though other apps have been closed. Fortunately, not many other iphone users seem to be experiencing the problem.
