Download stuck at 95%

I have a MacBook Pro and tried to install El Capitan yesterday but it's stuck at 95% and won't go any further. I tried doing the recovery but every time I press command+r it takes me back to the download. Please help, this happened when I tried to download to the Yosemite as well and it did the same thing, I had to pay Apple $30 just to talk to tech support.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

If it applies, anti virus softare, web accelerators, and net monitoring apps such as Little Snitch can prevent your Mac from upgrading.

To use Command + R the Mac must be shut down first.

Startup your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys.

From there you should be able to access the built in utilities to verify and repair the startup disk and restore OS X using OS X Recovery.

Then try upgrading to El Capitan.
