iPhone 6s battery drain, overheating and poor standby time

I recently bought an iPhone 6s, coming from a 6. I've noticed that the battery life is pretty poor, and I only get around 2-2.5 hours of usage before it dies. The standby time is also no way near what I expect from an Apple product, it drops 20% overnight. Furthermore, it overheats on the back (just above the Apple logo when I use it for more than 10-15 minutes. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it worth taking it to Genius Bar to get it checked out? Thanks!

I have been experiencing the same behavior with my 6s as well. I did not have this problem until I updated to 9.0.2. For the past 3 days my phone is down to about 10% after 10 hours of virtually no use. I've tried rebooting, there is nothing running in the background, and no apparent reason for the battery drain.

Paying more then 800 euros for device that needs to be charged every 3 hours!! Come on apple fix this *******

iPhone6 could be used for a day now the 6s drains even empty on standby

Reset device 4 times now and drains on default installation 😠

I put my phone in DFU recovery mode and did a full restore. So far it looks like it fixed my battery drain problem. I should know by later today if it really fixed the problem or not.

After 6 hours my phone is at 89% charge so the DFU restore fixed my problem. Previously my phone would be at about 30% after 6 hours.
