my applications folder is empty, the apps and other stuff gone, help!
Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
There may be an Applications Folder under your account. It is common for it to be empty. It is not a cause for alarm.
The important one is the system-wide /Applications, (where / means starting from top-level on the Boot Drive).
