MacBook Pro Wifi

My MacBook Pro can no longer pick up the wifi, though it used to and my iPhone can still connect. Any advice?

Network diagnostics scans for wifi but doesn't pick up any signal. On the network status bar on the left, only wifi has a green marker, everything else is red. Trying the hidden network tab, manually typing the network name, password and security type doesn't work either.

I also forgot to mention that my computer was still able to pick up wifi at another location, which leads me to believe it's something to do with the network itself. But like I said my phone still connects, and my computer used to but then suddenly stopped.

"suddenly stopped" cold be a low-level Hardware problem, such as a disconnected antenna lead. The antenna lead also goes through the hinge area (and subject to abrasion) because it connects to a metal bezel around the display to improve reception.

If you have an Apple Store available, your appointment for an evaluation is free, in warranty or out.

There is also a more comprehensive Wi-Fi monitoring/diagnostic hidden on the Wi-Fi Icon on the menuBar. I am not certain it can run when you don't have a connection, but it is easy to try. Hold down Option while you click on the Wi-Fi Icon on the menuBar, and an information display appears, as well as the "link" to the Wireless Diagnostic.

Option Wi-Fi:

Run the diagnostic through once and see what it says. Then you get this screen:

Set to to [√] Monitor my Wi-Fi connection and you get access to some cool "Performance" graphs you can choose off the Window Menu:
