iPhone 6 Plus bent while in a case, stores response.

About 5 months ago I bought two iPhone 6 Plus' from Tmobile on their Jump! program. Both phones where placed in a case the day that I got them. I took one phone out of the case a few weeks back to clean it off and to my dismay I seen a very obvious bend. It was shocking because I hardly ever have it in my pocket nor do I ever put it under any sort of pressure. The phone's getting hot now when I use it and the bend seems to be getting worse as time goes on.


I contacted my carrier about the issue and was told that I need to contact Apple or have insurance replace the device with a fee of $175. I called my local Apple store (North lake mall, Charlotte NC) and was told "We'll probably charge more than your insurance, so go with them"... what kind of customer service is that?!?


BTW, I've had the phone about 5 months and according to the warranty it would seem as this should be covered. But the store claims not.
