My iPod barely charges

My iPod 5th Generation doesn't want to charge right and it barely charges at all. The charger is fine, doesn't look like there's anything wrong with it. When it is charging it doesn't show that it is, yet it still charges a little. It keeps dying and it doesn't want to charge after it dies. Nothing happened to i my iPod recently, I don't know what's wrong with it!😕
