My iphone doesn't update the battery status after charging. If I plug it in at, say, 30%, it will be stuck at that. Only a restart will bring it to 100% and have it act normally - until I plug it back in. Any ideas?

Same question here. My phone is 6s Plus. Reset settings and restore back to default were done but still no luck. Battery percentage will freeze randonly at a point and will stuck until a reboot.
Apple support please bring us an answer/solution. Hardware problem? I got two of them facing the same problem.

I don't think it's a hardware problem. Replacement has same issue for me as the original 6s.
I believe it's not a hardware problem since I got two 6s Plus with same problem. Just curious any fix on this.
Today I found Apple Online Store. They told me it can be replaced but 2 weeks was required for checking and delivery. I just afraid that same issue was found after the replacement.
Did this happen even after restoring as a new phone, and not from a backup?
I can confirm that this has happened on both iPhone 6s' I have had. Both of them were set up as new, not from a back up.
Same issue here. Apple needs to investigate this before it spreads any further.
Same issue here on my iPhone 6s. I did not notice until after I had 9.0.2 installed. I don't remember if it started immediately after installing 9.0.2, but it was working correctly in the beginning.

Do you guys happen to be manually changing the time? Another user mentioned changing the date/time confuses the phone and it doesn't know how to show the real battery life.
I do change the time sometimes to get more lives on Candy Crush but I always immediately change it back to automatic.
I've done this with previous phones and this issue never occurred.

6s is my first iphone and i was freaking out coz i had this problem. I used to restart my phone 4 to 5 times A day. It definitely started after i started tweaking time for candy crush. Yesterday I deleted candycrush and the phone is back to normal.

I had the same thing happen to me, it kept getting stuck on 62% battery even after being charged overnight but if I turned off the phone and then back on again it updated to 100%. I was changing the date/time to get more lives for candy crush (like I had been doing with my 5s) and today was the first day I haven't had to reset the phone. So I think its the changing the date/time which confuses the phone.
