I'm having same problem with 4g dongle E392-u compatibility with MacBook Pro. And I suspect the problem is not with the Airtel 4g dongle, but with the El Capitan (V10.11). Our dongle cannot work in OS 10.11 because of the driver non-upgradation of the dongle. During discussion, one of my friends, who is an engineer with Apple told me that Huawei company can supply the upgraded driver. Then I talked with the Huawei people (1800 209 6555). But they also said that the upgraded driver will be available in the near future. Until then we'll have to wait, I think

I managed to get over it since I had un-installed the Airtel connection manager and wasn't able to install it again on Mac OS X EI Capitan. I went to Huawei website on the following link and mentioned my dongle model i.e. E3272 and download the Mobile Partner package for Mac OS X 10.11 (EI Capitan). For me installation took longer and at last it failed but application installed successfully.

I attached my Airtel Dongle to my macbook and it detected the LTE signal. I created a manual profile with name as "Airtel" (though you can name anything) and set the APN to www.airtelgprs.com and was able to connect to network without any issues. Huawei already published the updated installer package for USB dongle in September but it seems Airtel is too slow to customize and provide it to its customers.

Hi apurbakm,

Airtel 4G Huawei dongle not working in mac 10.11 (el capitan) solution is here.

I recently purchase Macbook air installed with mac 10.11 el capitan and also an airtel 4G dongle with huawei make and model number E3372. As i tried to install airtel 4G huawei dongle, the screen read

no software to install

I then was on google searching for solutions. I found many websites recommending to switch off rootless in Mac by turning on recovery mode to install the airtel 4G drivers and dongle. I suppose that is not necessary.

Simple solution is here. All you need to do is to download a software.

The best Solution. This is for AIRTEL ZTE MF825A. First Download the patch file in the following website.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B314fks4e-XUY2Z0cFFkaWc5YU0/view

It is a zip file. Open this. You will find patch.dmg. Open this. Click "OPEN".

It will show "Please Drag your Packge here : "

Now open Airtel . Drag the "Airtel 4G" to the box and click "Patch".

Thats it problem solved. Now your Airtel 4G works as a brand new one.
