What is the formula for CELL B10 to execute the following in Numbers where:
B10 adds the previous cells in that row from ( B2 to B9) and + 10% of that total
MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
PS I meant to say in the horizontal Row 2 as follows:
i.e. the formula to insert in CELL G2 which gives you the total of (Cell B2 + C2 + D2 + E2 + F2) PLUS 10% of that i.e. B2 -F2 added up + 10%
=sum(B2:G2)*1.1
1.1 comes from
= sum(B2:G2)*1 is the full amount + sum(B2:G2)*10%
percent means "divided by 100"... so...
= sum(B2:G2)*1 is the full amount + sum(B2:G2)*10/100
therefore:
= sum(B2:G2)*1 is the full amount + sum(B2:G2)*0.1
you can factor out the sum(...)
= sum(B2:G2)*(1 + 0.1)
