iphone 6s camera lag

Agreed. OTA update for me and all is still well. I cannot see how there could be a difference; if the update downloads and installs, then surely you can take it that it has loaded correctly.

How long is the delay that you are seeing when you open the camera app?

Is it a frozen blurred screen (an image of the last thing that the sensor viewed before the app was closed)?

When i open a Camera app i see frozen blurred screen, i try change to video, panorama but nothing help i try wait 30 sec like other ppl write and nothing... camera never working properly all the time frozen blurred screen.

I need to completly shutdown phone and turn on and for next few hours working good.

The lag is, in my case, 3-4 seconds blurred frozen screen, after i touch to open camera app. After theese 3-4 seconds i can see live images from the camera. I repeat myself, with official 10.1 release (updated OTA), lag happened only once, since 4 days ago when i installed this update.

With 10.1 beta 4 it worked flawless for 1 week, maybe this can be a hint for next investigations ?!?

With 10.1. beta 3 happened once and i could see an improvement after version 10.0.x

With 10.0.x it happened almost every time i opened the camera app after doing some phone calls.

Has anyone upgrade to 10.1.1?

My camera has been working excellent! I don't want to mess it up by updating anymore.

I didn't do that, 'cause I am a little bit worry of that, that's why I didn't update my phone till 10.1.1 My camera works very well and none updates is needed!

No lag on 10.2 Beta. Confirmed. 100%.

I have finally discover the cause of the problem, the issue is caused by the location services, for some reason camera needs to wait to have the position before be ready to take pictures. If you disable the location services the lag dissapear.

But i want to use my camera with location services so is still a problem for me.

It's nothing to do with location services. Many have tried to disable services sequentially or totally to no effect.

I disabled the location services for camera during 5 days, and I had 0 issues with camera (testing many times in the day), after that I turned on location services for camera and the lag returned.

yeah. definetely the same here. what i had had trouble with was mostly just the camera lag for a whole year so as ios 10.1 fixed that i will never ever touch the update button. i have a very stable phone now so dont need an update. maybe 10.2 but gotta see the others comments on it first.

My iPhone 6s ,16gb's camera takes so much time to open some of times and some of times it opens very quickly. What is the solution for this problem?

Yeah hi! Even though running on iOS 10. 1.1 from time to time I see some camera lags, i.e. camera opens very slow as it was on 10.0.1 Can either of you explain the root cause of this issue?

All still good here on 6s plus. Fixed on 10.1- currently on 10.2. No issues.
