iCloud.com cannot load backup content in most Apps.

iCloud.com will not load content in Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Find my iPhone, Settings, Pages, Numbers, Keynote. I get a message that says it cannot load content, try again later when I open the App in iCloud. Photos App will load pictures. The organization of my photos, Albums & Moments do not match my MacBook, iPad or iPhone. I've always had a huge problem with duplicate photos. It takes a long time to go through Photos in 3 devices to delete duplicatesbthat seem to appear over & over.

I do not trust iCloud to back up the data or contents of any of my devices. None of my devices will sync photos consistently. Occasionally calendars, Notes & other Apps will sync. Also, Photos stopped uploading new photos during backup in May for some reason. It has started uploading photos again recently but stays way behind. I experience nothing even close to the claim that "iCloud will upload your photos as soon as you take them" or Photo Stream will sync your photos to all of your devices. When I updated to IOS 9, all of my iCloud pictures were on my devices & it said "zero" were in iCloud. It started uploading over 3000 photos from scratch. It's still not done.i followed a tip from an article about how to stop it from lagging so far behind on backups & at least in settings on my IOS 9 devices under iCloud, it says updated & the day/rime. It no longer lists the huge numbers waiting to upload and download.

Oher Cloud backups like Amazon Photos does a much better job & is unlimited. I tried Verizon Cloud & even it works better than iCkoud. None are perfect.

What can I do to fix this. I'm afraid to upgrade my MacBook to El Capitin without backing up my treasured things but if I back up to an external device from my MacBook, I will be missing a lot of content From my iPad & iPhone.

Help, please.

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

For the first issue you describe where iCloud isn't loading content in your apps like Reminders, iCal, Notes, etc. My suggestion would be to log out of iCloud and log back in and see if that works to sync everything.

As for the second issue with your photos, I personally use Google Photos to sync all of my photos and it syncs beautifully versus this mess Apple calls iCloud!

Thank you, zinacef for your reply.

When you suggested logging out of iCloud, did you mean to log out of iCloud on each device? MacBook, iPad & iPhone? I have been in & out of iCloud.com several times, logging out each time. That didn't seem to change anything. But I've never logged out of iCloud on my IOS devices. Should I log out of both

IOS devices & my MacBook at the same time then log back in? Or should I stay logged in on at least one device? I want to make sure I do this correctly & safely. I trust your suggestion.

I Will try Google Photos. I've got a google account with mail, googld+ & use my google login for YouTube & every other site you can login with your Google ID & passwords. I found some older photos buried deep in my gmail attachments that I thought were long gone. Thanks for the idea of using Google Photos. I'll gladly try it before iCloud loses everything.

Thanks! !
