iBook all saved documents missing

updated my iPad Air and now all my documents that I saved in iBook i

are missing

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular, iOS 7.0.6

How did you do the update ? The contents of the iBooks app are not included in a device's backup (neither iTunes nor iCloud), if you updated via a computer's iTunes then did you do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy your store downloads and iBooks contents over to your computer's iTunes library (and if using an up-to-date Mac also do File > Move Books From iTunes in its iBooks app) prior to starting the update ?


If you haven't got a copy of them anywhere then you will have to redownload/add them from wherever you originally got them from
