EI Captain did not support Outlook for Mac 2011/2016

Believe Apple should tell all users the above hidden problem before urging users to upgrade to EI Captain

Being a mac user for 10 years, I found it is really annoying only to find out my Outlook for Mac 2011 did not work after i upgraded to EI Captain

Now I have to stop all my work and restore my OS by my time machine back to Yosemite, which really upset me

This is really wasting my time.......

For user would like to upgrade to EI Captain but using Outlook for your email, please do not upgrade, for your email will not work

MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Since when is Apple responsible for making sure all third-party applications work with every new iteration of OS X?

That's a problem that should be addressed to Microsoft.

They are responsible for testing and updating their products to work with Apple's operating system.

Hi There,

Please note that Microsoft has came out with updates for MS Office 2011 i.e. 14.5.6 please update and use outlook normally.

I have updated to El Capitan and so far both Outlook for Mac 2011 & 2016 are working fine.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2012) & MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) - OS X El Capitan (10.11)
