imessage not working reliably after ios 9.0.2 update.

After the iOS 9.0.2 update, I am not reliably receiving or sending text messages. This occurs on group and single person text messages. It occurs with others that have iphones and other phones. It seems to be worst on one group text which contains a mix of iphones and non-iphones. Some messages that I send are not received. Some messages that are sent to me are not received.

There are no blocks set for Messaging. I have reset my network with the help of Apple's help line. I have restarted my phone. I have good WiFi and Cellular connections. I am on AT&T's network.

The problem persists.

Any solutions?

Thanks.

MY phone is almost useless . My messages if they send can be hours later sometimes days! And the same for messages sent to me. This update has been a total disaster, as I need my phone for work I have always been a happy Apple but now I'm going to have bin this phone, it's not only messages but incoming calls and alerts which 90% of the time I don't receive as there is no ringtone or alert sounds. Does anyone know if there is going to be a fix ? Oh and not to mention apps just shutting down or when trying to access settings it takes minutes to open, I've gone from a perfectly functioning phone to one that's useless, very disappointed

I posted way back here on page 1, and eventually I managed to sort it out but forgot to come back and post ...

I deleted all threads in my imessage app and since then have not once had this issue. seems strange that this would work but it's been a couple weeks of busy imessaging and never once has the issue returned. I also seem to have stopped getting the grey box error.

I Sign-out Apple ID and Sign-in Again then it works. It it doesn't work for you, try some other method described here http://www.cydiawater.com/

1. Go to Settings, then tap ‘Messages’. Scroll to the ‘Send & Receive’ option and open it.

2. Tap the Apple ID, then select ‘Sign Out’.

3. Now turn off iMessage

4. Wait for some time (turn Wi-fi ON|OFF) and then turn ON iMessage again.

After being an iPhone / iPad / iPod AND iMAC user. On November 27, 2015 I am switching to the Samsung 6S...Goodbye Apple iPhone.

I am not putting up with any more screwups with iOS 9 and the Microsoft way Apple is correcting KNOWN SCREW-UPS WITH IOS9!!

PS: If Steve Jobs was still around and this iOS 9 fiasco happened, the entire team that worked on it would be escorted from the Apple building, never to return.

Also...Tim Cooke must go!!

I am having the same issue with messages to and from my wife. Not receiving every message on all my devices. Delivery confirmations not always coming up. And at times getting un-downloadable photo notifications to my Watch.

This problem seems to have started 2 months ago in 9.0.2 and still hasn't been fixed in 9.1. Fingers crossed for a fix soon.

My husband and I have had our iPhone 6s Plus' for almost a month. They have been working great until the past 24 hours and now we do not get notifications that we have sent each others text messages. However, it does work from other people with non-iPhones or older iPhones. What is going on? I've read through most of this feed and I'm not sure why we are paying $1,600 for two phones that work worse than our older phones. Apple please update!!!
