i have the new iPhone 6s with ios 9 and I recently updated iTunes so it would work with my phone I then download songs and they won't let me drag them onto the phone and it also won't let me drag music already in my iTunes library onto the phone

Did you activate Apple Music or any of the other online music choices? If not, in iTunes, do you have Manually Manage Music checked? What happens when you try to drag music? Where did the downloaded songs come from?
When I try and drag it the like phone thing doesn't light up to know that the song was placed and I downloaded them from YouTube but even my music I bought on iTunes wont come onto the phone, and how do I check and see if it's checked off or not?
When the phone is connected to iTunes, you click on the summary tab in iTunes after selecting the phone. Also, songs cannot be added directly from YouTube, they need to be downloaded to the iTunes library first. The option to manually manage music is on the Summary page.
