How to share iPad/Phone movies with friends and family

Question

It seems nobody with a windows PC or Android device can actually see these .MOV files... useless.

I don't have facebook.. I just want to record a short video (normally no longer than 4 min) and send it via email.

i use Gmail

i guess i am hoping for a setting somewhere that will create mp3 format that anybody can view - i don't really know
