what is the maximum number of keywords I can use in Photos 1.1?

Re Photo App 1.1 running on El Capitan.

What is the maximum number of keywords can I include in 'Keywords', in both the Quick Group and the longer 'Keywords' list?

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11)

It's a while ago when I hit the problem in iPhoto but I found it simply through trial and error. I was editing my Keyword list and iPhoto rejected a new word. A message appeared, (can't remember where on the screen,) to say that 'the maximum no. of keywords was (I think) 72". I'm glad you guys have not had that problem although what I took to be the 72 word limit in practice helped me to be more disciplined in using Keyword.

I have roughly 600 keywords defined in Photos. Many of them have been added by the Faces feature or geotagging software. In Photos I would be frugal with the number of keywords, not because there could be a limit, but because a large number of keywords make the keyword Manager difficult to use. Photos does not have a search field in the Keyword Manager to quickly find the keywords we want to use or to edit. Having to maintain a large number of keywords in the Keyword Manager can be a pain. It does not matter so much when searching for keywords in the library; then the automatic completion will help.
