I upgraded to Yosemite OSX 10.10.5 and now my Canon PIXMA MX300 printer won't work. I went to the Canon website and there is no driver for OS X 10.10.5. Does anyone have another solution?

I had a similar issue on my Canon MP970 and I used the drop down menu of the different OS X versions on the Canon USA site and installed the drivers from Mountain Lion 10.8 which worked perfectly. I just checked their website and the same was true for the MX300.
The last printer driver that Canon released for the MX300 was for OS X 10.9. Here is a link to that driver from Canon Australia. This driver should install and function fine on OS X 10.10.5.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to PAHU!!!! This driver works perfectly, plus I also downloaded a driver for my PIXMA Pro9500 from the Canon Australia site and it works too. So relieved!
